01 / About

I’m interested in the moment data becomes useful.

My background in software quality taught me to question assumptions, trace issues to their source, and care deeply about data integrity. Today I apply that rigor to exploratory analysis, dashboard development, and communicating the story behind the numbers.

My M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington gives me a strong technical foundation, while my studies in Purdue University’s Master of Business and Technology program strengthen how I connect analytics with business strategy. Together, they shape my approach: rigorous analysis, clear communication, and a focus on decisions that create measurable impact.

Payment Fraud Analytics

Exploratory analysis of an imbalanced credit-card dataset to identify fraud patterns and communicate risk through Tableau.

Business problem

Fraud represented a tiny share of transactions, making overall averages misleading. The goal was to isolate the times, amounts, and behaviors associated with disproportionate fraud risk.

284Ktransactions analyzed
Key insightFraud represented only 0.17% of activity. The analysis surfaced peak fraud at 2 AM, zero-dollar card-testing activity, and a 3× higher fraud risk above $500.
